Fungicides

Fungicides can be classified into three types: contact, translaminar, and systemic. Contact fungicides remain on the surface of the plant, providing protection only to the areas where the spray is applied. In contrast, translaminar fungicides move from the upper, treated surface of the leaf to the lower, untreated surface, ensuring more coverage. Systemic fungicides are absorbed into the plant and transported through its xylem vessels, providing protection from within. However, not all fungicides reach every part of the plant—some are locally systemic, and others primarily move upward through the plant.
